Windows Central Question

Hello! I was hoping to pick up the 2017 Surface Pro with Core M that seems to have a few deals for the holidays and I was wondering if it could be switched to Windows 10 S Mode and if that would help keep it running smoothly for longer. I’m aware of the limitations of S mode and they would be fine for me but I don’t know if you can switch a Surface Pro into that mode and if you could, would that be beneficial to performance since it’s a lower powered device? Thank you for your help!

I am not sure you can switch from full W10 to W10-S mode. I only know it can be done the other way around. It's better to have the full W10 mode to be honest. How much RAM does the Surface Pro 2017 have that you want to buy? If it's 4GB, you may not think that's a lot, but the Surface will most likely surprise you and handle most things (except heavy gaming) with just that small amount of RAM.
