My old Windows 8 phone of 3 years was synced to a OneDrive. 3 years of irreplaceable photos.

Now I got a new Windows 8 phone (Ebay), I intend to use the same Outlook / Windows ID but when it syncs - will I lose my data?

    ok thanks for your reply.

So when the sync process starts and the server discovers a blank memory card inside. It will try to sync exactly what is on the phone right? (when using same ID)

You'll see OneDrive contents on your phone when you log in with your MS account but it's not "syncing" files between your phone and the cloud. Bottom line: you're not going to lose anything. But if you're still nervous, then back up your OneDrive files to another drive - PC, USB, ext HD, etc.

You won't lose anything. It will just start syncing new photos from your new phone, to your OneDrive account that you signed in with.
