Want to know about 128 ssd in surface pro 6

Hi, i want to buy sp6 128gb ssd as per my budget. Since i am a engineering student, i want kno if it would be enough to run the software like solid work, matlab, ansys and other many engineering related software, would it be enough for me to install these software under 128 ssd, or i have to go with 256 ssd. Want a guinune suggestions from the user who had experienced it .

I think you would need a larger one. I have a Surface Pro 4 with a 128gb. Windows alone filled up that SSD. I purchased a 500gb for it during Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

If the 256GB SSD is out of your budget, do what has been suggested and get an external SSD to compliment the original 128GB SSD.

Yes you can! I did that for my Surface Pro. You can even get 1TB SSD cards as well, although the access speed obviously won't be as fast as an actual SSD.
