Can you charge a Surface Book 2 through a usb-c connection to a monitor?

So if I have a monitor which supports charging a connected laptop via a usb-c connection, will this work for a Surface Book 2 aswell or is this feature limited to thunderbolt 3? If this works you could have a surface book 2 setup with just one usb-cable connected to your laptop that delivers power to the laptop aswell as video data to the monitor. Thanks for your help in advance!

So you want to use your monitor to charge your Surface Book 2. I am not sure that is possible, sadly.
