Checking at Swappa, I’m seeing them for a little less, with slightly better specs. The cheaper one is in rough shape though.

What's the reason you won't get with a Windows laptop instead?

Good question! PCs can provide better value and more bang for your buck!

Sometimes it may be a myth that using Macs is better for graphics design. It may have been true in the past, definitely, but perhaps not so much now.

Well there IS that Apple program for video editing, Final Cut Pro, which many regard as the best. Its not available for PC. HOWEVER there are other programs for PC that could work. For graphic design though, the "best" program is Adobe (they have a few good ones), and THAT is available for PC & Mac.

Adobe has good video editing and photo editing software for PC too. A lot of people just pick Apple because of the style or status that comes with it.
