New Edge and Ad Blocking

Has Microsoft said anything regarding the new Edge and the Manifest V3 issues Google is pushing in to Chromium? Brave, Opera and others have said they will not adopt V3 and continue to support ad blocking.

Probably will go where the money is. It will not be long before you pull on the TP roll and there will be a Google ad staring at you.

You know we have been over run when your toothpaste has a banner on it as you squeeze it out!!!

Most likely something you are not in the least bit interested in or have been using a better product with no desire for the cheap . . . ;>)

The scary thing about this is that I bet this has actually been thought of as an idea by some tech company somewhere.

There's always blocking by hostfile. That'll work with *anything*.

Microsoft's Edge browser will block ads that are deemed too intrusive, a new sign that browsers have begun competing to make the web better for you even if businesses might not like it. It's a significant development for Microsoft's new Chromium-based Edge, an overhauled app now available for Windows, MacOS, Android and iOS that's based on Google's open-source browser technology.
