I am an university language instructor who works full time at a local univesity. Looking to buy a 13.3 inch laptop which I can travel with, has a reliable and fast wifi connection, responsive hardware, and long battery life (8-9 hrs). Styling or latest specs are not important, relaibility is more important for me. I don't play games. I am looking at two models from Lenovo. (Their price range is very similar where I live)

    1) Lenovo X380 Yoga (convertible): i5 8250U, FHD touchscreen, 8 gb ram, 256 SSD
    2) Lenovo Yoga 730 (convertible): i7 8550U, FHD touchscreen, 8 gb ram, 256 SSD

Go for the i7 model out of the two. Simply because the specs are otherwise the same, so because there is not much difference between the two it wouldn't make sense to go for the lesser CPU, unless it was cost.
