Recent post by Panos panay on twitter is making rounds on other news sites stemming from a previous patent found by "thurrott".

Will surface duos have holographic displays?
    and if they do,
Would it just be a gimmick, as am not sure what the value these holograms can add to productivity?

Everyone is just guessing based on that Twitter post right now. Don't forget that the Amazon Fire phone did something like this and it failed spectacularly.

At the moment, the Duo could be doing the same thing. We don't know. Hopefully not though!

I doubt it will be as Panos Panay et al are very particular when it comes to design and functionality when it comes to the Surface hardware.

I doubt it as well. Chances are, if it does do holograms, it may be using some new tech that MS have developed themselves.

Well... without geeking out about light refraction, gotta see it to believe it lol.

I blame my chem and physics lecturers... as will never see light the same way again without thinking about it as well as attenuation LOL... damn you professors!

It would definitely be good if MS could pull this off though.
