I have an HP laptop with a Dell docking station. 2 monitors, mouse, keyboard, camera are all attached to the docking station which in turn is plugged into the laptop via one HDMI. I am able to close the laptop everything works great.

Issue is, once I leave the computer overnight, it sleeps or hibernates. I have to open the laptop, hit the power button to get everything back on. Sometimes I have to unplug / plug in the HDMI for it to recognize the docking station again. I actually set ALL the power settings to "Do nothing", just to see and that did not help.

Computer I had before, let me just hit a key or tap the mouse to wake it up without opening the laptop.

Hope this all made sense. Any ideas would be great.

Check and see which devices are allowed to wake your computer up. If your keyboard/mouse is not listed, you can add it. Note the post is telling you how to disable things, so keep in mind you'll be doing the reverse.
