Asus VivoTab Smart Front Camera

Hi! I was wondering if it's just me or everybody experiences the same thing with the front camera being too zoomed into your face even at arms length? My old laptop's front camera can even see my whole face with an extended thumb and middle finger gap. Is this normal on the tab's front camera?

At arms length, the tablet can capture my whole head and maybe some of my neck. It does seem to zoom in a little more than my laptop, but I suspect it's supposed to be that way. My arms aren't that long though..

Now if it zooms super close your your face at arms length and you can't see anything else, then we might have a problem.
