Touch Screen Sensitivity

Hi folks. I just received a new Blu WinHD the other day, charged it, and updated it to the latest firmware (12241) and Win8.1 (8.10.14226.359). Unfortunately I find the touch screen sensitivity to be terrible. Swiping causes way too many clicks. I have an older HTC 8s which has great sensitivity in comparison.

I see this problem widely reported on various forums and reviews. Is there a solution? If not, I'll have to return it which is sad because I really like the bigger screen and speed.

Any help is appreciated.

Did you check for a second update? I thought I'd heard of a couple of updates, the latest fixing touchscreen issues. (could be you have it though..)

I just checked updates after seeing your post. Nothing new is available. I've contacted Blu tech support so hopefully they'll get back to me.

Okay, problem solved. The phone came with Windows 8.10.14226.359 and firmware 12241. I installed the Win8.1 Preview for Developers which then proceeded to install an OS update. After a reboot, the touch sensitivity problem is totally fixed and it behaves much like the scrolling in my old HTC 8s (also with Win8.1 Developer Preview installed). Strangely, the OS and firmware versions stayed the same after the update (8.10.14226.359 and 12241) so I'm not sure exactly what got installed. Hope this helps other folks having the same issues.
