With my new Lumina 920, I got a bit of a surprise. From one end of my house I got an LTE signal. I did some testing and it was incredibly fast. 11 Mbit download speeds.
I live near Denver International Airport and AT&T has been working on the tower to the west of the airport, which is where I live. So while I was out on Saturday in various spots of north Denver, I did some test. I got speeds from 7 to 11 Mbit download. (Attached a screenshot of the results.) Almost all of the time the phone read 4G but I've never seen 4G speeds this fast on my HTC Titan.
I'm wondering if LTE isn't active in most of Denver but AT&T is supressing the label and forcing it to say 4G. Then one magic day they'll flip a switch and we'll have LTE.
Anyways, I am quite thrilled with the speed.
