I recently just used warranty to exchange a faulty Lumia 920. Dust started accumulating underneath the front camera, and it eventually got so bad that I couldn't even use it because it was just a blurred mess.

My carrier is AT&T, and they gave me no problem with the exchange, at first. I got my new phone in, and I wrapped up the old one and sent it through my post office using the shipping label included within the box they sent me. Now, weeks later, I get a charge on mt account for $450 saying that I never returned the device. The tracking number I got off of the receipt no longer works, so I have no way of knowing what happened to the package. I KNOW that my post office got the package, and the USPS shipping label was placed on the top of the package, unobstructed. AT&T will not take the charge off my account, and I have no idea what action I can take to settle this dispute. Now I'm stuck with a bill I can not (and will not) pay. I'm not really sure that there is anything I can do, but if someone here has any experience with this, I would be really appreciative of your help. I would love to get this issue settled.

Call your bank and dispute the charge.

It doesn't come out of my account automatically. I've always been leery of linking my checking account to auto-pay for these types of bills, just in case something like this happens. This is the first time something has happened, but it happened nonetheless.

I'm just trying to see if there's some way I can salvage this account. I would like to continue my business with AT&T, but I may not be able to. I would also hate for something like this to affect my credit down the line.

Legal action if they continue to charge you. The tracking number should work if you know which company was used.

Is the tracking number you have from the post office? The post office would have scanned the shipping label so there should be a trail. Do you have the receipt from the post office?

Edit: I apologize i missed that you did have receipt.

You may have already done this but have you gone to the post office? I had thought that if a tracking number link is dead that a package has been delivered. They should have a record of where it ended up.
