Using ATT Handsets On Tmobile

Over on the Lumia 1520 forum there was a post that you can dial ##3282# on unlocked AT&T handsets to activate Tmobile bands. Has anyone done this?

I dialed it on my 830 and it brought up a "field test" menu. Didn't investigate any of the options because I am on the road without my laptop and didn't want to accidentally disable my phone.

on the 1520 is worked great, but the 830 has 1 band less. I had an 830 and a friend the 1520, and the band he needed to get LTE working on tmobile wasn't present on my 830. both phones were the AT&T versions.

Wife used to have a 1520. The procedure you mention works great.

I have had a couple of 1520's on t-mobile with no issues. We have brought over a few unlocked Att phones in the last few years with no issues.
