I have Sony sbh 20 Bluetooth headset with NFC but can't connect it with NFC. Do you know why? .

Is this headset supporting Bluetooth 4.0 ? And how many hours of playing songs does it last ?

The packaging states Bluetooth 3.0 and the Accessories app shows 6 hours music play back. It has just arrived so I cannot say if that 6 hour estimate figure is correct.

I don't know anything about the Sony sbh 20, sorry.

The play/pause and skip forward/back buttons control the Spotify App fine.

First impressions of the sound quality is very good. A surprisingly deep base response using the bundled earbuds. I also have some Shure SE310s and while they sound better, it's not that much of a difference. Of course, this is probably down to the bluetooth and the quality of the music in Spotify (even though I sync in high quality). The supplied earbuds are on a different planet when you compare with the usual rubbish bundled with phones.

[WARN]NB: I am by no stretch of the imagination what you'd call an audiophile. So, if you are, please get some ears-on time with these if you're considering buying a set.[/WARN]

Have you got a link as to where you bought it? That might be useful...

Also, is it possible to use music + videos to play music? What happens when you start playing music through that app when the headset is connected through Bluetooth? - Thanks

I bought it from this eBay seller - GENUINE NOKIA BH-121 BLACK NFC STEREO BLUETOOTH HEADSET HEADPHONES - NOKBH-121BK | eBay

Not bought from that seller before, but they were spot on.

It has just announced to me 'Battery low' and then about 10 mins later it switched itself off. I didn't time my listening sessions, but I will have easily got 6 hours out of it. So, the quoted times seem spot on.

I'm timing the charging time at the moment. Will report back when fully charged.

I'll also try Music + Video later, but I cannot see any reason why any app producing audio will not play over blutooth to the earphones.

It took 40 mins to charge.

Music + Video plays audio over the blutooth for both music and video. As does Audible. I'm guess all apps & games will as I don't think it's up to the individual apps.

One last thing. Pinning the BH-121 from within Accessories, gives you a nice live tile showing the battery level and also if the headset is connected or not. As soon as I switch off the headset, the live tile changes, so it's not subject to the 30mins max update schedule like other apps.

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences as an early adopter. Have you tried watching any videos with it? Is the sound delayed any? I've heard troubles of lips not syncing with audio when using a Bluetooth headset to watch video.

The only real option I can find for the U.S. is $70 via ebay, so I'd like to either learn a bit more before taking the leap, or wait till it's available locally and the reviews are more plentiful. Who knows if that will happen. Seems it's hard to get Nokia accessories here sometimes. You'll hear the announcement, but they'll never really show up.

I have just watched a few YouTube clips after searching for Sound Sync Test and they seem to match up ok. I next watched a few other random clips of nothing in particular and they, too, seemed ok.

I then transferred a 25fps @ 1505kbps video file to the phone's SD card (details below) and played it in both native player and MoliPlayer Pro and things seemed in sync ok.

Lastly, a .MKV file with DTS audio was transferred to the SD Card (details below) and played via MoilPlayer Pro using the Software Decoder and there were no sync issues.

As a bonus, the subtitles were in sync as well.

Hi there, could you comment on the audio quality difference between going wired and then using the BH-121?

I had an earlier version of this, the BH-111 - there was noticeable drop in quality when plugging my earphones direct and then plugging into the BH-111.

I did comment a little on this in post #27, but also see the warning I posted too.

I can hear a difference if I plug my SE310s into the phone directly but, to my ears, it's hardly noticeable. Again, this is probably down to the source material I am listening to and/or the age of my ears!

I think if you are generally the type that only listens to FLAC and use high-end in-ear monitors, then obviously you will be disappointed listening over Bluetooth.

Ah, thanks!

In the case of the older BH-111, things like reverb trails, just disappeared. I wonder if the 121 performs better...
