USB powered Nokia Charging Plate

Has anyone successfully used a USB cable to power their Nokia DT-900 Qi Charging Plate? I found a few USB to 2.5mm cables on amazon and wondered if anyone's tried them. I was lucky enough to pick up 3 additional DT-900's for $5 each from At&t and would like to add one to the car. Here is the link to the amazon cable.

I tried with a couple cables I had found in a bag of wires and couldn't get it to fit correctly. Was hoping to be able to charge it that way as that brick it comes with is way too big! If it works let us know!

Ive been looking for a USB plug to put onto the Nokia cord. You need to make sure the round plug is correctly polarized the same as the Nokia one or you will fry the charging plate, I made that mistake. I hard wired a charging plate into my truck by just splicing into a 12v source and it works with no problems.

I'm hoping to hardwire one into my truck and my motorcycle. Need to do some more research, but the usb cable might work on the motorcycle.
