Is the MS Band running Windows 10? Obviously not the whole thing, but something even more nerfed say than what phones will run? Belfiore and Nadella always talk about Windows 10 "running on everything." Does everything include their first wearable? I think this is relevant because maybe sometime in the future these wearable devices will be able to run Universal Apps.

It has to be based on the NT kernel. Other than that, it's Windows Band OS? Remember, Windows 10 will even run the IOT.

I could be wrong, but I'd expect it to be some iteration of Windows Embedded.

I doubt its running any version of Windows, considering it has 64Mb storage only. But if it is, it would be a great technological feat by MS and also a big leap for IoT.
