Well that was a bummer. Was just on my Concept2 rower and the HR was way overstated. Per the chest strap and checking manually I was around 130 - 135. Band had me much higher. It was most off when I had the display facing up on my wrist, but was still 15-20 too high when facing down. Seemed reasonably accurate when I jogged a few nights ago, so curious if the wrist action in rowing somehow impacted it. Love to hear from other erg users.

By comparing just two devices it would be somewhat difficult to determine which one is more accurate - the strap or the Band. It would be interesting to see what an additional device shows.

Agree. That's why I put two fingers to the artery on my neck and counted beats for 10 seconds. Multiplied by six and resulted in a number very close to the chest strap. As such I'm quite confident the Band was the one way off.

The band is way off for sure. I am waiting one week to see if MS can fix it, if not it is going back.

What exercise were you tracking? I understand it only has options for running (repetitive exercise) and other (lifting weights etc.).

I've learned that with optic sensors worn on the wrist/arm, if you are doing something that increases muscle tension, it will look like your heart rate is higher. I use the Scosche Rhythm + on my forearm for my workouts, and if I am using weights for upper body, my heart rate will look higher than it is.
