So the smartwatch availability for windows phone is bad.

With the little support I was thinking. The Windows central community is vast, knowledgeable and pretty much the best I have come across.

So why don't we make a smartwatch? There must be users that have the programming skills? There must be users that are or know people that can design our watch, someone who can make it and distribute it?

This is an idea, pretty far fetched I know, but I am sure we could do it!

So who knows anything or anyone that could help us? And who would support this?

(Oh and Windows central give us a hand as well?)

It is not that easy to build a smartwatch, especially one as sophisticated as the Microsoft Band.

Much simpler hardware like the Pebble watch exists. Windows Phone now has APIs for watch notifications. Would be a lot less effort to petition or fund a company like that to add support than start from scratch. Software is cheaper to write than hardware is to develop and manufacture.
