Band won't update from Windows phone if phone is in battery save mode

Anyone else notice this. You don't get any error but when you go to exit the health app it tells you that you have unsaved changes.
Otherwise it appears sync has worked but checking the band will show nothing has been updated.

Is the health app set up in the battery saver app set to stop running in the background when battery saver is on?
