Band 1 still updateable?

Since getting burned on the Surface RT I can't help having some abandonment issues with Microsoft tech. Any ideas if we will still see updates are are we done if we have a band 1?

We really won't know until we see new features added to B2 and nothing for B1. However, even then, some features might be due to the better hardware in B2 and B1 can't support it.
