Just got my Band 2 and also an iPhone after years on WM..... that is a whole 'nuther story.

Should motion tracking be off on the iPhone. In other words will I be double dipping or combine the band steps with the iPhone steps or does one cancel the other.

iPhone Health requires it and I'm not sure the Band does but I suspect it does.

I guess it depends what app you use. If you use MS Health and pair it with the Band then it will get its stats from the Band, not from the phone. If you have other health apps that use the phone's hardware then they will probably not look at the Band's numbers. You could probably use both without a problem, but I'm just guessing. It might be good for comparison purposes.
