Dishwasher and Home Connect

My dishwasher has the ability to be connected to my wifi - not sure why I even need this feature....BUT...

There is no Windows App (mobile and full OS). I figured laptops, tablets users might want to use it. But Nope.

The reason:

A quick search tell me home connect is supported by IFTTT, which also support Cortana. So you could create your own IFTTT command to control home connect device through Cortana. Maybe this workaround is not good as a dedicated app. However, it is better than nothing.

Still not sure why I need my dishwasher to connect...
