Cortana delay when using bluetooth headset

When using my Bluetooth headphones, it takes Cortana about 3-4 seconds before you hear the beep and she starts to listen to what you are saying. Even though it says that its listening after pressing the dictation button, it actually takes about 3-4 seconds before you hear the beep and the phone actually begins to listen to what you are dictating. This only happens when using the Bluetooth headsets, when using wired headsets or no headsets at all, Cortana begins listening as soon as you press the dictation button.

This is not a huge deal, its only about a 3 second wait, but I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing this with a Bluetooth headset.

It's not a cortana problem it's an OS problem. I had the same problem in 8.0 when I would make phone calls with my bluetooth headset.

Interesting. Prior to 8.1 update I had only used my Bluetooth headset to talk, not to dictate. Thanks for reply.
