#whoisanna teaser related to cortana/Microsoft?

Genius marketing... for some device.. I saw this teaser on Comedy Central Netherlands.

When you type 'Who is anna' in Cortana it says 'You'!!! No matter what own name you have put!

So I am wondering, does Microsoft FINALLY have some genius marketing for some new kind of device???? Related? Or is it related to Apple?

I guess tomorrow it is already revealed according to that website. Whatever company teased this should have waited longer for this to go viral. Would be a typical Microsoft fail to mess up a genius campaign.

But I keep cracking my brain, what would Cortana mean with you are Anna? Would it mean it is a very personal device? Error in Cortana? Joke?

If you ask Cortana who is John or who is Andy etc it responds you as well. I doubt Anna is associated with Microsoft at all

So then it is just an error in cortana.

Maybe google is renaming google now to Anna to join the female party.

If you play the vid on the website the OP linked, it's some sort of puck shaped device. Looks like a standalone, but I bet it has Android and/or iOS Apps... The color scheme and layout of the site reminds me of iOS for some reason.

Maybe smartTV?

I do not want to spoil the fun. But it is not from Microsoft, Google or Apple.
It is a campagne started two weeks ago only in the Netherlands.
it a new thermostat. Made by the "Nederlandse Energie Maatschappij" (Translated Dutch Energy Company). Focussed on the Dutch market

So that it goes beyond the borders is just cool. Well there was a mistake.. They trademarked the name and it become public last monday..

It would be very cool if Anna is related to the German version of the Cortana voice assistant and ends up using Anna from frozen's German voice! It would also be great being consistent with North American Cortana who is basically Cortana from halo and would continue the geekiness!

But I doubt this'll happen, and, if it does happen, then color me surprised!

The app won't work with Windows Phone. Another reason to ditch the Windows Phone device and get the hell back to Apple.
