Cortana taking up too much screen space on bing search results

Hi
I just got 8.1 Update 1 on my Lumia 925 and now finally have Cortana.
In general it's great, but I'm disappointed that when I now do Bing searches, I lose a fairly large amount of screen space at the bottom with the oversized Cortana text box and button.

Is there any way to hide this when displaying Bing search results? It's really annoying being able to see so much less on the screen.

i'm not seeing where it's taking up any more space than a regular Bing search like before. Any way you could post a screen shot of what you're talking about?

Screenshot attached. Before Cortana, the bit at the bottom, pointed to by the red arrow, wasn't there when displaying search results.

You can change your text size in settings to make that a bit smaller. Also would make the search results smaller where it'd fit more on the screen.
