Why does cortana need my position? That make me dont want to use her since position is a real battery drainer...cant microsoft just make those position feature not obbligatory? I would use her if her wouldnt need my position..

Having Cortana know your position can help her determine items which are most relevant to you, such as the weather, local news, departure, traffic and appointment-related notifications, and so on.

Position isn't a real battery drainer in this case since Cortana only needs a few moments to determine your location. In most cases, this location has already been determined automatically by the phone in the background so Cortana only needs to "read" this saved location (which takes a fraction of a second).

This is different from the case of using navigation apps, it is not the determination of location that uses up data, but rather the fact that the screen is left on while navigating and (most significantly) data downloads (in the case of Waze a live traffic updates). The GPS antenna does consume power, but not as much as those other two (the screen and the 3G/4G antenna)... and only if the GPS antenna is left on continuously (which is app-specific - the GPS antenna is only active if the location icon is visible in the upper left corner of the screen, which while using Cortana ins't really that long).

But i noticed that the position icon is active a lot of time, thats why it consumes. They could make that optional so if i want to search something or recognize some music i dont have to use that bing thing

I still don't think the location service consumes more power than the screen of the phone or the 3G/4G antenna, even if the "icon is active a lot of time[s]".

Nonetheless, you can always turn of the location services of your phone in your phone settings. Settings > location > location services toggle. Complementary to the situation, you may want to observe the behavior of your battery once location services is turned off - e.g. if would be significantly longer than when location services are turned on.

In any case they should make possible use cortana without position. If i want to search on the internet, why cortana needs to know my position? My opinion of course

You can search the internet without the location services turned on. But, again, the other features of Cortana (listed above) will not work properly/accurately without location services.
