    On mobile, you have a microphone icon just above the keyboard when you start to edit a document. Pressing it will allow you to dictate text directly into Word.

    I'm not sure if you can do it as easily on a desktop/laptop system. You might be able to configure the Speech Recognition to allow you to dictate directly into Word.
