Cortana on android issues

So is anybody else having issues with Cortana on android lately? I just got a new phone and after installing Cortana I found that when I type questions I never get an answer, just the "...". It worked just fine on my last phone and I have all the permissions set the same so that shouldn't be an issue either.

I switched to android last October. Installed Cortana and actually uninstalled it after 3 weeks to a month. Its a mess and doesnt work as expected. Still have the MS Launcher running but disabled Cortana in it too. Google just works better in most cases. Of course when you dont enable the MS launcer as the AI assistance, your SMS and some other notification bubbles dont work right. (Another mess). BUt I like the launcher and sticky notes integration. It out weighs the bad.
