Could I sell the Office code to somebody else?

Since I already have an Office 365 subscription the Office code that came with this tablet has gone unused. Am I able to sell this to somebody or will it only work with the tablet? I tried searching for an answer and haven't been able to come up with anything. Thanks!

Since it is Office 365 it SHOULD work with any device, but unfortunately I can't assure you...

Yes you should be able to sell it to someone else as a valid code, it's not tied to the device or anything, they just throw the code in the box with the device.

I am not sure you are correct. It is pre-installed and just needs to be activated. As such it could easily viewed by Dell and MS as "OME" software and that cannot be moved, legally, to any other machine.

its home and student, it is installed on most new machines in trial mode, the key should work on any machine that has it.

What you could do is have the potential buyer try it. Strike a deal, and if it works, he pays. If it doesn't work, he doesn't.
