I have a DVP and am using it on T-mobile.

Depending where I am the upper left letter next to the signal strength indicator will display:

E = Edge ?
G = 3G ?
H = ???

What is H?

And am I correct with E & G.

Thanks!

While not having a DVP, my Titan shows H for 'High' speed meaning 3.5G here in the UK

Any other time it shows 3G

Perhaps it's the same ?

Oh and welcome along to WPCentral kmo98. :)

The DVP Manual says...

3G (H) Connected to a 3G (HSPA) data network

The highest I seen my DVP indicate is 3G. If I am in a building sometimes it will go to E. When I am on 3G my speedtests vary sometimes I might see 1.5 up and 3 down or 680kbps up and 5.5 m down.

It changes because the carriers / manufacturers can change the symbols that are displayed up there. For example, my Samsung Focus on Rogers shows 3G+ by default instead of an H. It still means HSDPA, but the text is different.

(If you know what you're doing, you can also change them yourself ? they're just registry keys located at Local Machine\Software\Microsoft\Connectivity\CellularUx)
