REDFLY is up on the WMexperts and Amazon stores now. We’d like to get a few more user opinions/reviews posted by people who have actually had some hands-on time with REDFLY.

We’re not asking for sugar-coated, fake reviews – just some straight-up and fair opinions from people who’ve used it. Tell perspective buyers your honest thoughts – good and/or bad.

So, if you’d like, post a quick opinion/review at either site then PM me (or reply to this thread and I’ll contact you).

We have a bunch of cool REDFLY T-shirts, a few really nice dry-fit black Polo shirts, some sweet executive-class pens and some 1GB thumb drives – take your pick and I’ll send you one of your choice.

WMexperts Store: (click on this link , pick a product, then add your yellow star rating and it will give you the option to post an opinion/comment).

Amazon Store: (click here , pick a product, then scroll down to bottom and click on “create your own review”)

    Update:
We're out of the Polo Shirts and Pens for now, but contact me and I'll hook you up with a t-shirt, 1GB drive or something else of your liking.

I got mine today. Quick first thoughts:
Looks solid and well built, much heavier than I imagined, not sure that it is too heavy but will compare with some of my other mobile devices.
Not sure what caused it but I had a hard time getting the phone and the redfly to connect the first time. I went to the support site, and could not find my issue where they just wouldn't recognize each other. I reset the phone a couple times and when I plugged it in it gave me the PC connection screen but nothing about the Red Fly, finally whatever caused it, it connected. First thoughts are very cool. Will play more and let you know.
oh I get it - supposed to post review elsewhere, sorry... will get on it after a few days of use.

Wow, I'd be greatly honored to have a T-shirt for my, albeit seemingly sugary-coated, review at Amazon concerning my experience and opinions on the Redfly (especially from a woman's standpoint). It may read to some as sugar-coated but EVERY word is true. I am ecstatic about my Redfly!

Hey - I just posted my review over at amazon. This thing is amazing!! I've seen some hate on xda about this product and have no idea what kind of crack those guys are on. I'd love a new 1GB flash drive to go with this, but can't PM until I hit 15 posts. How do I get in touch with these guys?

    ckj,

I posted my review on WMExperts (Oct 11).

If you have a L or XL polo shirt, contact me and i can send you my address. Although you should already have it as i have registered my RedFly.

If you need beta testers for RedFly enhancements and/or new functionality for upcoming development of new RedFly devices, let me know.

As I mentioned, the only real con I had was with the somewhat large Power Supply that did not have retractable plug.

    Great product!

    Thanks,

    Dan

I've had mine for a week now and I really like it.

    Posted my review as follows;

This thing really is incredible. The first thing that struck me is how solid the build quality is. It feels more sturdy than my Dell laptop. I could not believe how easy it was to get up and running. Took me all of 5 minutes. I have been using it with GoToMyPC and it works perfectly. So many of my Windows Mobile applications are much easier to use on the redfly. I could go on and on but you get the idea.:-)

Thanks everyone for your support. We have shipped some of the items. I've sent messages to everyone that's posted asking for mailing address etc. If you didn't get the PMs or emails, send me a PM, email or post here and we'll figure it out.

BTW, the Polo shirts are about gone. I still have plenty of t-shirts, 1GB flash drives and pens.

I probably don't represent the typical demographic for this site. I'm older, in my fifties, a senior executive, VP of Ops at our 2.5 billion in sales family corporation and can pretty much approve my own tech toys at whatever level I want. I travel constantly by car and air and just hated two things about my state of the art desktop replacement Dell notebook pc. It takes three minutes, yes, really, three of them, to boot up and almost two minutes and several "must click" error windows to shut down. That is useless in airports and agravating everywhere else.

When I saw the Redfly I thought, instant on and full size PDF and Office attachment viewing. So I just bought it myself, and I love it. I am on it right now at home. I'd be happy to review it and have posted a number of supporting forum posts because of three features. Outrageous battery life, instant on, and control of my enterprise applications back in the office (that never worked acceptably through VPN but work flawlessly via LogMeIn).

It isn't just easier to carry than a notebook it is also more powerful via remote control software and you don't even have to pack that obscene ginormous Dell power brick. Thanks Colllin and Celio. This is the sweetest device available right now. Oh and that is all said even though I am using a PPC 6800 slowgul mogul. As soon as you guys get the Touch Pro drivers finished I will really be able to fly with this thing by upgrading my phone. Cuz

Posting my reviews at Amazon, here and on my own site. I received mine last week. Its been great using it. I specialize in providing very small companies with advanced technology including mobile access. I've had the opportunity to test popular laptop formats including the new netbooks. The hassle of maintaining a laptop operating system, syncing data, the weight/heat, waiting for bootups and high cost kept me from ever buying one for myself.

I concluded a few years ago that a screen and keyboard for the phone would be the way to go. I had no idea it could be done as nicely as Celio has done with the Redfly. Open it, press the bluetooth button on the Redfly keyboard and a second later I'm checking email and calendar, entering billing items, remoting to customer servers and looking up things on the net. It was a surprise that the performance over bluetooth would be so snappy.
