Okay, heres a smal review of the progress of Beacon from a user's perspective.
WindowsPhone based app called “Beacon”.
Whats al about and what is it’s use.
Its a kind of a geobased messenger and a photogallery app, so you can chat and show off pictures among friends.
You can even like or dislike other users pictures.
And you can also if you choose to do so, share your location and showing of pictures of the places you have been.
At first its a app thats not verry intuitive, but as with many apps you have to find your way in it in order to work with it.
Its pretty strait forward and complete in style with the WindowsPhone operatingsystem.
There are not many who keeps that in mind.
Not only the looks and feels of the app are in WP style but he also created a real life lifetile.
And even the icon is in WP style.
As you can see at the beginning of this post.
And the screeny below.
It keeps track of all your friends whereabouts and what they are doing.
Its looks like a need combination of Whatsapp and Facebook.
And tho its already a very nice app, its stil a work in progress.
The only thing wat i think is a shame and a lost for many users, that this well designed app is not going to show up in the WP store….yet.
For now its for educational and betatesting use only.
But i do believe that it has a real potential in the market
I added some screenshots so you get the genuine idea
The only thing what needs attention is the notification it self.
Sometimes they don't get through.
But thats not a design flaw, but a shortcomming of the ecosystem of WP self.
Now its time to polish it up and work on the lose ends.
I for one like it.
And plzzz give it its own notificationsound.
My wife is going crazy, she still thinks its one of the many ladies i have on Whatsapp
Well done and keep up the good work laddy
