I know there are plenty free icons around, and even basic pack (32) is in your Microsoft SDKs folder. And of course some icons extracted from the application resources as well.
But overall graphic quality on Marketplace is still poor, so I decided to create completely new icon set, to help developers build better looking apps.

It has some advantages:
- Icons are in shape (vector) format - so if new chassis of WP will come, there will be no problem for you create new size of those icons.
- Icons are originally designed in bigger size then 48?48, so I payed a lot of attention to every corner. As a result they feel more consistent.
- Every icon is designed with pixel perfect precision. They usually looks even better, than MS version. (Yes, on PenTile display it is another story, but still..
) - lots of icons have more vatiations of basic icon - so you can cover every function of your app.
