Hello,
For the past couple of days I've been attempting to make an app that captures video in 720p resolution. (It will also need to do other stuff while capturing.) However, for some reason the VideoCaptureDevice object shows 640x480@30fps (VGA) as the only supported format, even though my Lumia 800 can capture 720p with the built-in camera app. I've tried setting the DesiredFormat to 1280x720@30fps but it only seems to record VGA video.
The code I'm using is pretty much the same as this: How to: Record Video in a Camera Application for Windows Phone (With the addition of my attempts to change the capture resolution through the VideoCaptureDevice.SupportedFormat property.)
What the heck's going on? Can't user apps record high quality video? I'm using the 7.1 API.
Thanks!
