GD2+Amber has significantly improved the battery life on my 920. There are features in GDR3 that make me want to take the jump, but I don't want to possibly revert to **** battery performance. Those of you that have taken the plunge, please post your post your post GDR3 battery performance vs. GDR2 :)

You can't possibly discover battery life differences on day one. It really needs to be something you notice over time, one way or the other.

All i can say this early is i haven't had any serious battery drain and ive been using gdr3 continuously for at least 4 hours playing mp3s on speaker, lte internet browsing, etc and still have over 85% remaining.

I hope you are right, but battery drain reports online are very unreliable when it comes to phones.

I went ahead and flashed yesterday evening. Went to bed @ 12:20 on a full charge. Woke up @ 5am and batt still says 100%.

Unfortunately, the battery indicator still seems off. My phone was at 44% after the flash process. Rebooting the phone made that jump to 60%.

Too early to call but I see a significant improvement in battery life. Left the phone off the charger overnight. woke up with only 4% drain in 7 hours. Current drain % is < 1. :O
I'm on a 1020 with glance on peek and double tap to unlock.

The only difference is that I am closing all running apps from the multi task window

updated my Lumia 1020 yesterday evening. immediately after the update it was the same. I let it drain to shut down and charged it all the way. I then turned on background on all my apps, switched to LTE from edge and set my email to push from every 30 mins to get an accurate idea of any changes (the previous settings were in place to make sure I could get a full day on GDR2).after 5 hours and 6 minutes which included 1hour off Wi-Fi, 1 hour of calls, about 10-12 pictures, some texting tweeting and about 3 pictures to Facebook and 3 to 6Tag, I'm now at 82% which is much better than it's been before considering how much I had it limited previously. I'll report back once I've drained it down to 0 to let you know what my final results were.

Mine gets much better bttery life. On Amber, discharged rate when surfing the internet by wifi was about 25% per hour. Now, on GDR3, it declined to 12-15% per hour. Just wowow! You should update with no hesitation.
And mine is an AT&T black 920 on Vietnamese ROM.

I see everyone is facing a better battery life but I think that I am the only one who has faced a bad battery life.
Its draining almost 10 - 12% battery per hour a full charge don't give me more than 8 - 10 hrs.
If I put a 100% charged phone over night by morning I am left with a little over 20% with only my data enabled.
If I enable Glance and Tap to wakeup its even less.
I am thinking of Hard Resetting the Phone.
