How to create swipe or sliding view of images

I have four images, I used four pivot item to slide left or right to view another images like on picture gallery. But I don't like to use pivot because of black space when you swipe left or right. How to create image sliding control like on picture gallery on window phone?

Pivot is a bad idea when you have a list to be bound. Use a list view with a stackpanel orientation set to horizontal in the template. Let me know if you need a help on the xaml.
