How does one become a Windows Phone developer?

Hello guys,
I want to become a Windows Phone Developer. Can someone help me and tell me what programming languages and setup are required to develop Windows Phone 8.1 apps? Also, It would be awesome if you can give me your emailID in pm so I can contqact you frther.
Also, if an Indian developer wants me to beta test his apps on developer unlocked Lumia 525 running Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan, He/she can contact me. :)

Sorry, but I don't know anything about software development of any type.

Check out the Microsoft training and Visual Studio for Windows Phone. I think the languages are C# or JavaScript.

Go through these video tutorials. They'll help you get started.

Although every language has its pros and cons, I would recommend C# for every beginner. I think it is the most convenient language for the windows platform yet. You will find lots of links to ready-to-run samples in the microsoft documentations. Use them for experimenting with the stuff that you later want to use in your own app...
