Windows App development on WP8.1, what are compatible tools?

Windows App development on WP8.1

Hi Guys ,
Currently i am using lumia930 with win8.1 OS.
I want to develop apps for this phone. I have win8 dell laptop with 4gb ram.
What are the compatible tools(like visual studio, Windows SDK, emulator ) for my phone OS version and Laptop Version to develop apps.

You can now get Visual Studio 2015 Community edition free. You will want to learn the MVVM programmer pattern. VS and MVVM with xaml and .net programming is really powerful. Does take a little while to get the hang of, but is worth it.

Oh, it might be that VS requires Windows 10. But I would recommend upgrading.

Update to win 10 with pro version only can run the emulator. So make sure your laptop support Hyper-V, 4GB ram and above, windows with pro version to use the emulator. Else, you have to register your phone and test it in your phone.

For WP8.1 development, u can use win 8.1 os and VS2013 to develop too.
