There haven't been a lot of UI changes in Edge since Win10 launched, but more features are being implemented and/or exposed. The launch version scored 403, the 50525 version scored 417, and now 10532 has hit 440. Edge is actually getting quite close to Firefox 40 (467).

(I'm talking about html5test.com, in case it wasn't obvious)

HTML5 test is not a legitimate benchmark and should not be treated as such. Although the improved score is good, HTML5test has a bunch of "standards" that aren't actually standards and shouldn't be taken seriously.

HTML5Test does a perfect job of measuring compliance with the approved and proposed standards in its test suite. Obviously some features are more important than others, but it is important for the development of the web for Edge to support most of the stuff that the other browsers do.

Apparently Microsoft feels the same way, because Edge's score continues to climb. In 10547, it is up to 458.

473, with the optional Flags turned on. Edge has become a very standards-compliant browser.

Only 444 on my L640 with Edge 38.14388.0.0.
Not bad... Only 7 points behind my desktop FireFox 47.0.1.

Once Edge gets extension support on Mobile and my "must-have" FireFox extensions go over, I might just change browsers completely. It saddens me a bit, but after FireFoxOS got the axe I've sort of been disillusioned about Mozilla.

Without any flag configuration (everything default), I got 466 on build 14388.

If you guys are getting different results using the same browser version, then the test is bogus.

Flags expose or hide features from testing. Obviously that will change the result.

The team is keeping pace with Firefox. HTML5Test now scores 491 (496 with optional flags) as of 16251.

Standards compliance is good and the extension library is rounding out nicely. And wow - I just noticed that favorites in folders on the Favorites Bar can now be right-clicked to bring up a useful menu!

    NICE.

A bogus test for a bogus browser. How apt.

Something of a milestone: 17677 scores 501 on HTML5Test with all flags enabled. Back in ye olde IE days, it didn't seem like Microsoft would ever care enough to get their browser up to 500.
