Why does Miocrosoft Edge not keep my browsing History

I use Microsoft edge and when I check the browsing history it says that "will see history once I visit sites". I updated to windows 10 when it became available and used Edge as my browser ever since and have never cleared the browsing history yet it still never shows any history. Is there a setting which I need to change so that it does record sites which I have visited.

I had the same problem. I clicked on clear all history and then chose browsing history. After a while when all my browsing history was deleted I went to a few sites and it started to record history again. I can only assume that there must be a limited amount a space assigned to browser history and I must have filled it. (although I'm kind of surprised that there wouldn't be some kind of warning message. All I can say is that this method has fixed the problem for me!!!
