Why is Microsoft Edge unable to download stuff online?

why is microsoft edge unable to download stuff online.

I use the nokia lumia 950. I am unable to download anything with the microsoft edge browser. It used to work fine but about a week now, the download stands still at 0% forever. And i don't know why. Anyone else facing this problem

Have you tried clearing the browser cookies and trying again? Or also check if Edge is configured to run in the background and Battery Saver is not enabled (this restricts apps to work in the background unless enabled explicitly).
