I am not able to pin Microsoft Edge to the taskbar could someone suggest why?

I have tried many different methods, from drag and drop of icon from desktop, opening the app trying to use the right click menu, it only shows Close.

If your right menu show everything but not "Pin to taskbar", maybe you ALREADY had pinned it..... Close Edge and check

by default it is pinned to the taskbar - probably next to file explorer or some other app. If it is isn't, go to start > right click edge > more options > pin to taskbar
