What is Microsoft/B2X doing about not being able to read PDF files in EDGE on Windows mobile

Since about February 14th my Lumia 950 running Windows 10 mobile has been unable to open PDF files. This happens in stored PDF files, emailed PDF files and browsed PDF files.
As my phone is no longer under warranty I have to pay €9.99 to contact B2X support.
As this is a general problem brought on by a software update I don't see why I should have to pay Microsoft or anyone else to report this problem and find a solution.

Microsoft is going to roll out an update that will fix this soon. More information, along with their statement can be found here.
