Does Edge (Dev) syncing work for you?

I have Edge 42.0.22.3722 on my Android (9.0) phone, and Edge Dev 76.0.152.0 on my two laptops (one on 18362.86, one on 18898) and my tower (I forget - probably 18362.86).

Favorites are not syncing between these devices. All of the Windows machines show "Not Syncing" next to my profile pic and under the profile I see "Couldn't connect to the sync server. Retrying...", constantly. These machines connect to different networks, and work just fine in all other respects.

Is it just me?

Nope it's not just you. I'm having the same problem.

I can't get favorites to sync between by Surface Pro, Dell desktop, Note 8, and Tab S2.

I'm running the Edge beta on both my Note 8 and Tab S2, and Edge Chromium on my Surface Pro and Dell desktop.

Has it suddenly started working for you? With the update to Edge 76.0.159.0, syncing suddenly seems to work everywhere for me.

I actually got a response from Microsoft to my in-Edge feedback submission on this topic too, which was nice.

Nope. I updated to 76.0.159.0 and it promptly crashed. I had to uninstall and reinstall it. When I logged in with my Microsoft account, and selected sync, it crashed. After restarting it, it doesn't crash, but it won't sync favorites either.

I've sent feedback to Microsoft.

Update: Even after updating to the latest Dev Channel version, I still can't get it to sync.

Sorry to hear that. I'm on 167 now as well, and syncing continues to work properly for me.

For me, syncing sometimes say 'Not Syncing' and I have to sign out and then sign in again.

My issue is when I click the star to add a site to Favourites and then go through the steps it doesn't actually get added to my Favourites list. Instead, I have to go to the main Favourites menu and add it manually.

Looks like they got some bugs worked out. I am now syncing between my Dell Desktop, Surface Pro (2017), Note 8, and Tab S2. I've saved a favorite on my Tab S2 and after a few minutes it synced to my Surface Pro. However, when I looked at my Note 8, I was getting duplicate favorites. I'm not sure where theses dups are coming from.

I saw a bunch of duplicates when syncing started working, but after a bit of pruning all is well. No new ones are being created.

Yeah. I don't have duplicates anymore either. It looks like they've worked out some more bugs.
