Most likely, as with many Japanese products, Japan only. We were merely lucky to hear about this one, since it was the first known phone to ship with mango already loaded. It's also using Qualcomm's 8655 chipset, so it supports CDMA and GSM!

Nice phone. It makes all the WP7 phones we have seen so far look like utter garbage.

Somebody needs to hook me up with one of these. I will even take the smaller screen over my HD7.

I read somewhere that it's like a $1000 with a 2 year contract in Japan. I don't know if that was true or accurate.

The market there is completely different. It is a midrange phone there.

13.2mp camera, 32gb internal storage and waterproof capabilities that sound as intense as something military grade.
"The unit will retain its functionality as a phone even if blasted with water projected at all angles through 6.3mm nozzles at a flow rate of approximately 12.5 liters/minute for more than 3 minutes from a distance of approximately 3 meters." At all angles! Every one!

Most phones, iirc, in east asia are sold without carrier subsides... or branding.

    Fujitsu really makes good products
I am posting from a fujitsu computer right now lol

But really, this phone pales in comparison with a fujitsu windows 7 phone

not windows phone 7, but a windows 7 phone

it runs windows 7 with symbian

With the transfer rate as bad as it is from US dollar to yen, that's close to true.

The cost of cell phones in Japan are not subsidized like in the US, so you are not locked into the phone contract as you are locked into paying off the phone.

The IS12T is about 76,000 and you have a multitude of options to choose from to pay for that. You can pay all and have not extra payment, put down a down payment, or pay the phone off over 2 years. Paying it off over 2 years is FREE at the time of purchase, but you'll bill will be much higher. It really sucks.

Sadly that phone has been out since late last year and it still is better then anything anyone else has come out with for WP7.
