VGBC8 vs. Purple Cherry

Hi! I'd just like to ask from anyone with experience which of the two is better?

I don't really play with sound and I already have purple cherry, so I'm wondering if I should still buy VGBC8. One of my main concerns is which one burns more battery. I think that VGBC8 emulates games better, but does it do this at the expense of more battery life, and does it make it worth buying, when I already have Purple Cherry.

Also, I'd like to ask if there is a way to transfer save files from Purple Cherry to VGBC8 as I would like to keep my progress if possible.
