Now we know that MSFT has bought minecraft for 2.5 billion dollars, this is also great news for windows phone [if we ignore how skype is on WP atleast] because that could mean Minecraft Pocket Edition coming to WP.

The MCPE team was rather small when they developed for iOS and android, but now they are part of microsoft im sure they can and will grow. specially for windows phone.

What are your thoughts on this?

I'm not a minecraft player, but I'd think Microsoft really should make sure that they get the app on Windows Phone as soon as they can.

Actually, I would hope they'd target WinRT and we'd get PE on both tablets and phones in Windows 9. It's a tall order: I don't know where they are in the PE dev cycle. Perhaps we'll see this in v 1.0.x. To me, that would be the most bang for the buck here, making it available in the store. What's really gonna be tough is which version should play on the tablets?
