Kinect voice or microphone extender?

My Kinect is in an entertainment center behind a glass door. For it to best hear me, I have to keep the glass door open or speak very loudly.

Is there anything on the market that acts as an extender that I can put on an end table or coffee table that picks up my voice and relays it to the Kinect?

From my understanding you can buy a 3rd party blaster. But anyway we can use a 3rd party mic system. The only thing I use my Kinect for is voice commands and watching tv. I dont need the camera

my question to you is why would you put your Kinect behind glass.. its supposed to be in an open space to use it.. either get the mount to attach to the top of the tv you are using or put in on the top of your entertainment cabinet in between the tv and stand... even the instrutions tell you have to use the Kinect...
