My son is trying to connect his xbox one to a Samsung freesat decoder.( model SMTS 7800 ) This is a HD twin cable decoder but I believe it connects via the HDMI. Has anyone been able to connect them? We are in UK, not sure if this makes any difference

Shouldn't be a problem I have a humax freeview box hooked up to mine, just hdmi in and hdmi out should see it all sorted.

Yep. Just connect the HDMI to your console. It'll work fine.

Ok. He can connect it yes, but the channel list isn't present so he can't control the channels

Lucky, the channel guide as presented by the Xbox is absolute ****e, most programs are an hour out and some even more, and that is using both the Humax Freeview box and the MS/Xbox TV dongle.

I was really looking forward to just ONE RC when using the Xbox One, but I have had to stick with TWO RC's.......
